Recommended and Required books for your CertTESOL Course

These books form part of the required and recommended reading list to help with CertTESOL pre-course tasks, during the course and as part of a core reference library for English language teachers.

Required Reading

The following titles are required pre-course reading:

Learning Teaching (3rd edition)

Martin Parrott,
Grammar for English Language Teachers (2nd edition)
CUP, 2010.

This is the minimum recommended reading. These books can be borrowed from the school on payment of a deposit and, at the end of the course, either returned or purchased for future reference at that stage.

We also recommend the following titles as part of an extended list for pre-course reading. For reference, multiple copies of these are also available in the school’s trainee resource library.
